Everyday Comfort. Certified FR Protection.
iQ Series FR Workwear — Comfort-First, NFPA 2112 Certified
Comfort is compliance: FR that feels like everyday workwear gets worn correctly for the whole shift. The iQ Series gives oil and gas, electric utility, and maintenance crews NFPA 2112 certified daily wear across CAT 1 and CAT 2 in three collections — Comfort, Mobility, and Endurance — with flame resistance engineered to remain effective through industrial laundering per manufacturer care instructions.
What Makes the iQ Series Different
The iQ Series® was engineered around wearer comfort, using lightweight inherent fabrics with mechanical stretch and a patented sleeve pleat that allows full-range arm movement. Nomex® Comfort, Ten Cate Evolv™, and Westex G2™ fiber blends deliver inherent flame resistance — built into the fiber, not a chemical finish — while moisture management and breathability make these garments suitable for daily all-day wear in demanding field conditions.
iQ Series Collections — Comfort, Mobility & Endurance
The iQ Series organizes into three collections. Comfort woven shirts and pants use a refined hand-feel fabric for office-adjacent field roles. Mobility coveralls feature the patented sleeve pleat and stretch panels for confined-space work. Endurance styles use heavier woven fabrics for abrasion-resistant field use. All three share NFPA 2112 certification and arc ratings covering CAT 1 and CAT 2. Women’s iQ Series fits are also available.

What does iQ Series mean? +
iQ Series® is Bulwark FR's line of comfort-focused flame resistant workwear, engineered with lightweight inherent fabrics, mechanical stretch, and the patented iQ sleeve pleat for unrestricted arm movement. The series shifts the focus from the garment to the wearer — high-performance fibers built into superior fabrics across a variety of weights, certified to NFPA 2112 and arc-rated for NFPA 70E programs.
What arc rating does the Bulwark FR iQ Series carry? +
iQ Series styles carry CAT 1 and CAT 2 arc ratings (minimum arc ratings of 4 and 8 cal/cm² respectively). The ATPV for each style is listed on its product page — assign ratings per role from the site's arc-flash risk assessment.
Is the Bulwark FR iQ Series NFPA 2112 certified? +
Yes. iQ Series garments in this collection are certified to NFPA 2112 for flash-fire protection. They use inherent fiber technologies — Nomex® Comfort, Ten Cate Evolv™, and Westex G2™ — so flame resistance is built into the fiber and does not wash out when laundered per manufacturer care instructions.
What iQ Series styles are available? +
The iQ Series spans shirts (lightweight and midweight woven, comfort woven, and endurance styles), pants (lightweight and midweight comfort and endurance work pants), and coveralls (iQ Mobility and Premium iQ). Men's and women's fits are available, and every iQ style lists its fabric and ATPV on its product page.
How does the iQ Series sleeve pleat work? +
The patented iQ Series® sleeve pleat is a fabric fold engineered into the back of the sleeve that opens when the wearer raises their arm, providing full-range motion without stretching the garment body. This is especially valuable for linemen and technicians working overhead or in confined spaces where restricted arm movement creates fatigue.
Can I wear iQ Series garments as daily workwear? +
Yes. The iQ Series is designed for daily all-day wear, with lightweight fabrics and moisture management that make FR protection comfortable enough for full-shift use — supporting the day-in, day-out wear compliance an FR daily-wear program depends on.
