Women’s FR programs often require the same arc-flash coverage as men’s programs, but available garments have historically been limited. Bulwark FR Women’s covers arc-flash PPE categories CAT 1–2 in shirts, pants, and coveralls, CAT 2 in jeans, and CAT 2–3 in jackets — all in true women’s fits with inherent flame-resistant fabrics.

Yes. Bulwark FR Women’s garments in this collection are certified to NFPA 2112 for flash-fire protection. They use inherent flame-resistant fabrics — Nomex® and Ten Cate Evolv™ — where flame resistance is built into the fiber and does not wash out when laundered per manufacturer care instructions.

Yes. Bulwark FR Women’s garments use inherent flame-resistant fabrics that retain protection through repeated industrial laundering per manufacturer care instructions. Flame resistance does not wash out when laundered per manufacturer care instructions because it is a property of the fiber itself.
Are FR lab coats available in women’s fits? +
Yes. Bulwark FR Women’s Lab Coats are available in a princess-seam fit, with both standard FR and FR/CP chemical-splash repellency options using Westex Shield CXP™ fabric. These are appropriate for female laboratory technicians, researchers, and processing-facility chemists.
